Junior Achievement Bulgaria Trains Teachers on Economics and Entrepreneurship

Marking significant progress in the development of business education in secondary schools, the largest-ever Junior Achievement (JA) Bulgaria teacher certificate training course on economics and entrepreneurship took place in Sofia September 8-10. A full 120 educators gathered to learn innovative methods for teaching economics and entrepreneurship in 67 vocational and general secondary schools countrywide.

The seminar was organized with the support of the Ministry of Economy and Energy, USAID, and General Electric (GE). Andon Ichev, national advisor for GE in Bulgaria, announced a partnership between GE and JA Bulgaria involving business consultants teaching JA economics classes for 9th and 10th graders in vocational schools.
