Secretary of State Clinton to Visit USAID

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) will host Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton at the USAID headquarters in the Ronald Reagan Building at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 13.

WHAT:

Secretary Clinton will speak to USAID employees and staff hall focusing on a new initiative to review our strategic approach to diplomacy and development.

The Atrium Ballroom,
Ronald Reagan Building
1300 Pennsylvania Ave. NW
Washington DC 20523

Please use 14th Street entrance between Constitution and Pennsylvania Ave.

WHEN:

Monday, July 13, 2009
Preset for cameras is no later than 9:30 AM
(all video cameras must be positioned no later 9:30 AM)

Final access for writers and still photographers is 10:15 AM
Media will be able to record the Secretary’s comments.
No question and answer period will be available.

Media representatives may attend this event upon presentation of the following:

(1) a U.S. government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center); (2) a media-issued photo identification card; or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver’s license or passport).
